Hello All,
As you may know, I am passionate about Student-Led Mental Health Clubs. This is a low cost, powerful intervention that helps our students get accurate information about mental health, mental illness, and empowers them to support one another or to seek out help if they need it.
I will be leading an Ignite session (only five minutes, and yet it will pack a punch) at the Prizmah Conference in Denver. It will take place Monday, January 9th, during the 5:30-6:30pm time slot, I will be presenting on "The Why, What and How of Student Led Mental Health Clubs" at the Prizmah:CJDS conference in Denver. I'm first up at 5:30pm.
This will take place in Director's Row H/ Teaching and Learning.
Here is what you can do to help:
If you will be at the conference, come to my Ignite session!
If you are the parent of a middle school or high school student who attends a Jewish day school, please let the administrators of the school (or anyone you know who will be attending the conference) know about the session and the timing. Feel free to send them this post! I truly believe this intervention ought to be in every single Jewish day school, irrespective of denomination, and that it can make a major difference for our students. Let me get the opportunity to persuade your administration that student-led mental health clubs are right for your child’s school.
Thank you!
